A rare and important early 19th century punched tin
lantern with a pricket and two candle sockets. Precise
skill went into its making which is evident throughout
its entire tin surface. Please note the small punched
heart in the chimney which adds not only interest and
charm, but it's a very nice added touch.
The candle tray is easily removable to make candle
changing a simple task. The overall condition is
excellent and virtually untouched. One glass panel has
been replaced thoughtfully with historic glass. Other
than the glass, it's as pure as the driven snow.
Dimensions: 16.5' T, 11.5' W and 6' D. c1800-1820.
Inventory number 25-789.
$2400.

We love early ship
artifacts and were thrilled to find these three very
small dead eyes. Dead eyes were found on
early sailing vessels and used in rigging to trim
sails. They measure only 8" long with 2.5 inch
lignum vitae heads. Being this small, they were once
a function of smaller sailing yachts. Inventory
number 25-952.
