A stunning 19th century watercolor portrait of a handsome young man done on early lined paper. He is posed wearing a black waistcoat, a fine printed vest and a white  scarf. The portrait rests in its original red-washed molded frame under early historic glass which measures 12.5 x 10.5  Both sitter and artist are unknown. Inventory number 26-229.

A very attractive free drawn, early 19th century family record of  Elisha Roggett and Eliza Holland, married in 1796. They had 11 children all of which are identified in a classic well drawn family tree. Two swans flank the upper right and left hand corners and the 1806 date on the bottom indicates when the record was composed. It measures 20 x 15 overall and with the exception of a water mark along its right side, it remains in excellent condition. Inventory number 26-213.

Early 20th century cast iron rooster windmill weight. It was made by the Elgin Wind and Pump Power Company of Elgin, Illinois and remains damage free with an outstanding color and surface. Size: 15.5 x 16.5 It weighs 35 pounds and is very shippable. Inventory number 26-207.

Early 20th century barber pole. What caught my eye instantly was its unusual tapered form which I had never seen before. Its wonderfully weathered surface is a testament to its age and use and if you're into surfaces, this one WILL surely impress you with its completely untouched original color and surface. A free drawn and very colorful 19th century family record of Thomas Haren and Anna Smith married in 1801 producing 6 children. The work rests in its original frame under glass and remains in excellent condition. Size: 11 x 9 overall. Inventory number 26-200.

Two skillfully carved and painted ladies heads which I'll date right out of the roaring 20s. They are very cool and for me it was love at first sight. Both have minor shrinkage where the wood was originally joined together, but overall they are in very good condition. Each measures 7.5 x 4.5. Inventory number 26-199.

A pair of 19th century marriage portraits by Noah North, 1809-1880, Alexander, New York. North painted both with oils and graphite and his graphite works display remarkably fine details as you can see with these two examples. Each is presented in their original paint decorated frames under old historic glass and each measures  17 x14 inches. Both have survived well and remain in excellent original condition.  Large lead sculpture of George Washington, the father of our country. His stately pose is well captured with fine details as he stands holding his sword in one hand, a scroll in the other.  It is not signed but is offered in very fine original condition with a bronze wash color and tone. The sculpture measures just under 20 inches tall and dates from about 1890 -1910. Inventory number 26-195.

A fine, early 20th century patriotic embroidery. It depicts an American eagle perched on the shaft of an American flag having 42 stars. Offered in excellent condition in its original frame under glass which measures 25 x 23 overall. Inventory number 26-192.

A very nice large 19th century New England tin and glass onion lamp with a single candle socket. Most lanterns in this form had whale oil burners, but this one with a candle socket indicates it would have been used farther inland where whale oil was not readily available. It measures 13" tall with a 7.5" inch free blown globe and remains in perfect untouched original condition. Inventory number 26-180.

A trio of handmade Maine bait boxes, two in paint, one in natural color and surface. These are not common and when you do come across one, it's usually damaged from abuse if they survive at all. A 19th century cast iron fire mark of the Baltimore Equitable Insurance Society, 1794. The date 1794 represents when the company began in business, not its age which is early 19th century. Vernon Broe1930-2011, Richmond, Maine. Vernon Broe was a prolific artist who loved Maine coastal beach scenes with children and sailboats. This work features a larger cat boat in the foreground with two smaller ones in the background. His use of light is remarkable and exceptionally skillful. He generally worked with oils on board as is the case with this painting. Signed verso with his stamp. Size: 20.25 x 16.5 in a modern complimentary frame. Inventory number 25-847
